Recently, I encountered someone who was particularly enthusiastic about their birthday falling on or around the Winter Solstice. This sparked my curiosity, prompting me to delve into the topic through a Google Search. (I couldn’t help but chuckle at the thought of it being an encyclopedia search in the past. How times have changed!) According to National “Kids” Geographic, one of my favorite children’s journals, “the winter solstice marks the exact moment when half of Earth is tilted the farthest away from the sun.
