Ms. Ries is not only an amazing professor but a wonderful woman. During my time in her courses, I’ve gained valuable insight and knowledge that has transcended into my career as a preservice teacher. Ms. Ries always shared stories and wisdom in her classes that allowed me to see why community engagement is so meaningful. Ms. Ries made sure that her students were aware and prepared to navigate diverse classrooms and even the adverse challenges we may face in the future because she cares that much.
Ms. Ries has always been intentional. Every assignment, guest speaker, field trip, and discussion were purposeful and timely. I now see the connection between Ms. Ries’s value of community engagement and my progress in different practicum experiences. I’m deeply thankful for all the grace, love, wisdom, and encouragement Ms. Ries has given me, and I’m beyond grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to be her student!
